Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Simplifies Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launched today, introducing a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This helpful addition streamlines the often-grueling camo unlock process. Here's how it works.
The new Camo Challenge Tracker, detailed in the patch notes, lets players manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. But the real benefit lies in its "Near Completion" functionality, significantly aiding the pursuit of Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter camos.
This feature allows players to select 10 camos for easy, in-game progress monitoring, eliminating the need to constantly check the main menu. The tracker also proactively notifies players of near-completion challenges, even those not currently being tracked.

Tracking Camo and Calling Card Challenges
To add a challenge to the tracker, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation). This allows real-time progress checks during matches, eliminating post-match analysis.
Even without manually tracking a specific challenge, the game automatically highlights those nearing completion. This information remains readily accessible for players curious about their progress.
The top tracked and near-complete challenges are also displayed in the Black Ops 6 lobby's Daily Challenges section, offering a comprehensive overview of progress.
Season 2 also simplifies special camo unlocks. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. However, two special camos remain a prerequisite for mastery camos.
This update directly addresses player concerns about the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly responded to player feedback, making camo acquisition and use more enjoyable in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
