Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination

Civilization VII's launch is imminent, bringing with it a wealth of new content and features. The first DLC, "Crossroads of the World," arrives in March, split into two parts. The initial release features Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, introducing Ada Lovelace as a new leader. Three weeks later, the second installment adds Simon Bolivar as a leader and introduces Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.

Further expansion is promised with "Right to Rule," a second DLC slated for release in Q2 or Q3 2025 (April-September). This DLC will include two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and fresh natural wonders. March also sees the addition of new in-game events and natural wonders, such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.

Civilization VII will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners gain five days early access, starting February 6th. A day-one patch will also be released alongside the game's official launch on February 11th. Steam Deck compatibility is confirmed.

Firaxis Games and 2K have declared Civilization VII "gold," signifying the completion of primary development and eliminating the risk of further delays, barring unforeseen circumstances. This latest iteration in the celebrated 4X strategy series promises to set a new standard for the genre.
