Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, aims to revitalize the classic military shooter franchise with diverse missions, modes, and tactical gameplay.
The Delta Force series, a cornerstone of FPS gaming predating Call of Duty, is known for its realistic combat, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry. Level Infinite's revival features Warfare mode (large-scale battles), Operations mode (extraction-style gameplay), and a single-player campaign inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu (and the film Black Hawk Down)—all slated for a 2025 release.
Addressing Cheating Concerns
Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced criticism regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's approach, while aggressive, has drawn criticism for its perceived overreach. While their G.T.I. Security team is dedicated to combating cheating, restrictions implemented for the PC version have been met with negative feedback.
Although the mobile platform may present fewer cheating challenges, the PC controversy might still impact Delta Force's overall reception. However, the mobile version offers a potential opportunity to deliver on the game's promise.
