Elon Musk approves: Path of Exile 2 has received a major update and a handy name change feature

Path of Exile 2's latest update, 0.1.1c, addresses several key issues and introduces new features. The Grinding Gear Games team detailed the improvements in a recent announcement.

Here's a summary of the changes:

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved a bug preventing access to the Cartwalker Machine after character transfers from solo league.
  • Addressed various bugs in local co-op mode where Player 2 could access Player 1's UI elements (e.g., high-level maps).
  • Fixed a bug hindering Player 2's movement between control points in local co-op.

New Features:

  • Introduced up to five revival attempts in the Distorted Possessions area, scaling with difficulty.
  • Added up to five revival attempts for the Olroth encounter, also scaling with difficulty.
  • Implemented up to five revival attempts in the Essence of Nonexistence realm, scaling with difficulty. Death before defeating the Host in The Mists now results in a revival within the boss arena, restarting the fight.
  • Character renaming is now possible via the official website.

Despite some initial launch challenges, Path of Exile 2 remains a Steam chart-topper, and Grinding Gear Games continues its commitment to post-launch support and improvement.
