Stardew Valley: A Comprehensive Guide to Crystalariums
Stardew Valley offers more than farming; players strive for profit, and gemstones are valuable beyond their beauty, serving crafting and gifting purposes. While mining for rare gemstones is time-consuming, the Crystalarium provides a solution. This remarkable device replicates gemstones and minerals, significantly boosting profits. This guide covers obtaining and using Crystalariums, updated for Stardew Valley 1.6.
Obtaining a Crystalarium
To craft a Crystalarium, players need level 9 Mining skill and the following materials:
- 99 Stone: Easily found by breaking rocks.
- 5 Gold Bars: Smelt Gold Ore (found at mine levels 80 and below) using Coal in a Furnace.
- 2 Iridium Bars: Mine Iridium in Skull Cavern or obtain it daily from the Statue of Perfection (smelt with Coal).
- 1 Battery Pack: Obtained by placing Lightning Rods outside during thunderstorms.
Alternative Acquisition Methods:
- Community Center Bundle: Complete the 25,000g bundle in the Vault.
- Museum Donation: Donate at least 50 minerals (gemstones or geodes) to the Museum.
Using the Crystalarium
Place the Crystalarium anywhere (indoors or outdoors). The Quarry is a popular location for multiple Crystalariums. It replicates any mineral or gemstone except Prismatic Shards.
Growth Times and Profitability:
- Quartz: Fastest growth time, but low selling price.
- Diamond: Longest growth time (5 days), but highest profit.
Moving and Changing Stones:
Use an axe or pickaxe to remove a Crystalarium. A gem being replicated will drop. To change the stone, interact with the Crystalarium while holding the desired gemstone; the old gem will be ejected.
Maximize your profits and enhance your relationships in Pelican Town by strategically using Crystalariums to cultivate valuable gemstones.
