Get Ready for Dynamax Legendary Birds in Pokémon GO!
From January 20th to February 3rd, Pokémon GO players will have the chance to encounter the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in their colossal Dynamax forms! This exciting event offers a unique opportunity to capture these powerful Pokémon.
A Legendary Trio Takes Flight
These giant legendary birds will appear in five-star Max Raids at Power Spots. Each bird will have its own week-long appearance:
- Dynamax Articuno: January 20th
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 27th
- Dynamax Moltres: February 3rd
Following their initial appearance, each Dynamax Legendary Pokémon will remain available for a full week.
Legendary Flight Timed Research
A special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" event will run concurrently, offering opportunities to catch Pokémon (including Shiny Pokémon!), earn Candy, and collect Max Particles. Here's the schedule (all times are local):
- Dynamax Articuno: January 17th, 10:00 AM – January 20th, 7:00 PM (featuring Charmander, Beldum, and Scorbunny)
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 24th, 10:00 AM – January 27th, 7:00 PM (featuring Drilbur, Cryogonal, and Grookey)
- Dynamax Moltres: January 31st, 10:00 AM – February 3rd, 7:00 PM (featuring Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble)
Victini Returns in Pokémon GO Tour: Unova
Pokémon GO Tour: Unova is also making headlines! While the in-person event is location-specific, players worldwide can upgrade their free Tour Pass to a Deluxe Pass for enhanced rewards and faster progression.
On February 24th, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time, all players will receive a free Tour Pass. Upgrading to the Deluxe Pass grants access to Mythical Pokémon Victini and the Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket allows you to become Lucky Friends with another player, enabling a trade for a Lucky Pokémon (boosted stats and reduced power-up costs). This Lucky Friends status is one-time use per trade.
