PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: 12 Teams Remain!

The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), held as part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. The initial 24 teams have been whittled down to a final 12, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown. A significant portion of the $3 million prize pool is still up for grabs.

For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's an esports tournament showcasing some of the world's biggest games, bringing them to a Saudi Arabian audience. PUBG Mobile's participation has been a key success. Currently, Alliance leads the pack.

The remaining 12 teams will enjoy a one-week break before the final stage, commencing July 27th and concluding on the 28th. However, the competition isn't over for the eliminated teams. From July 23rd to 24th, a "Survival Stage" will give 12 eliminated teams a chance to fight for two coveted spots in the main event. This promises to be a highly competitive and dramatic event.

While the EWC has generated considerable buzz, it's worth noting that the PUBG Mobile World Cup isn't the largest event on the game's esports calendar. Other major tournaments are planned for later this year, potentially overshadowing this event's long-term impact.
