6 Cartoon Network Games Silently Removed from Stores

Warner Bros. Discovery's surprise removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant backlash from fans. Without explanation, titles including Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time have been pulled from digital storefronts like Steam and the Nintendo eShop. This digital delisting affects at least six games, leaving players unable to legally purchase these popular titles.

This action is linked to Warner Bros. Discovery's cost-cutting measures, which have previously impacted films and TV shows. The company's history of delisting games includes a March 2024 incident involving several Adult Swim titles. While some were reinstated after public outcry, others, like those recently delisted, were removed without prior notice.

As reported by Wario64 on Twitter, the latest round of removals on December 23rd, 2024, affected several popular games. These include Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games, OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, Steven Universe: Save the Light, Steven Universe: Unleash the Light, and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. Steam listings for these games simply state they are "no longer available for sale after Dec. 23rd, 2024," with attribution to Cartoon Network Games or Adult Swim Games.

Delisted Cartoon Network Games:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

It's noteworthy that some Cartoon Network games, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR and Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, remain available. Similarly, the soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is still for sale. However, Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games have yet to provide a reason for these removals.

Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, initially released in April 2014, is the oldest game affected. Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes launched in 2018, while Steven Universe: Unleash the Light debuted in 2021. The delisting of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, especially, has angered fans as it contained the canonical ending to the show's fifth season. The lack of warning and explanation has fueled further criticism of Warner Bros. Discovery's actions.
