Apple has officially greenlit the much-anticipated third season of the hit series *Severance*. This sci-fi psychological thriller, helmed by Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson, reigns as the top show on Apple TV+. The recently concluded second season shattered records, becoming the most-watched series on the platform. Curious about our take on it? Dive into IGN's review of *Severance Season 2*.

"Creating *Severance* has been an incredibly rewarding journey," Ben Stiller shared. "Though my memory of the process is a bit fuzzy, I'm assured that Season 3 will be just as thrilling, albeit with my recollection of it destined to vanish just as mysteriously."

Adam Scott, both star and executive producer, expressed his enthusiasm: "I'm thrilled to dive back into the world of *Severance* with Ben, Dan, and our fantastic team at Apple. And just a friendly reminder—don't mention any of this to my innie, please."

Apple's official synopsis teases: "In *Severance*, Mark Scout (played by Scott) heads a team at Lumon Industries, where employees undergo a severance procedure that neatly splits their work and personal memories. This radical approach to work-life balance comes under scrutiny as Mark uncovers a mystery that challenges his understanding of his job and his identity."

Season 2 delves deeper into the repercussions of tampering with the severance barrier, pushing Mark and his colleagues into darker territory. The season also introduces new series regulars Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.

While a release date for Season 3 remains elusive, Ben Stiller, appearing on the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, assured fans that the wait won't be as long as the three-year hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2. "No, we're not planning another three-year gap," Stiller confirmed. "We'll share our plans soon. It won't be that long!"

Stiller elaborated on the delays: "The writers' and actors' strike threw us off course, and regrouping took time. We shot Season 2 over 186 days, and the editing process was extensive. Thankfully, our audience was there when we returned."
