Bam Margera, the renowned former professional skateboarder and a star of the Jackass series, will indeed be part of the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not initially being included in the announced roster. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media expert Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally intervened, requesting Activision to add Margera to the game. Although initially told it was impossible, Hawk's persistence prevailed. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.Margera's inclusion comes after a challenging period marked by his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. He was also dismissed from the Jackass Forever project and faced legal issues, including a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats.
The recent buzz around Margera's return to the game was fueled by a video he shared with Tony Hawk, showcasing their skateboarding session together.
Scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game overcame significant hurdles, including the threat of cancellation following the merger of its original developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
