Bandai Namco Unveils Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game

Bandai Namco is set to launch Digimon Alysion, a digital rendition of the Digimon Card Game, on Android and iOS platforms. This free-to-play game, announced during Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th, does not have a confirmed release date yet. The event also highlighted upcoming projects, including a new arc for Digimon Liberator in April 2025, a special video celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, and a new RPG titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger for consoles and PC.

Digimon Alysion: Not Just a Card Game Port

Digimon Alysion isn't merely a digital version of the physical Digimon Card Game. It introduces a unique feature called 'DigiAly' cards, designed specifically for this mobile version, alongside the classic cards. Bandai Namco is also set to include new Digimon and characters in the game. However, the character lineup, which predominantly features an all-female cast, has sparked some skepticism among fans expecting a faithful adaptation of the physical game.

This isn't Bandai Namco's first foray into Digimon mobile games. Their previous attempts have not been successful, leading to a cautious optimism about Digimon Alysion's prospects. Despite this, anticipation for the game remains high. A closed beta test is on the horizon, though specifics are still undisclosed.
