Larian Studios recently unveiled a chilling 52-second cinematic preview on Twitter (X), showcasing a new evil ending for Patch 7. The Dark Urge takes center stage, highlighting the grim repercussions of a fully evil playthrough.

The preview depicts the horrifying fate of the Dark Urge's companions as they witness their leader succumb to their father's influence, seizing control of the Netherbrain. This harrowing scene foreshadows a reign of terror under Bhaal, with the companions serving as the first victims. The Dark Urge's mind control forces their companions to meet a tragic end. A chilling voiceover declares, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," before the Dark Urge suffers a similar fate.
This is just one of several new evil endings arriving in Patch 7. Larian's April community update promised enhanced evil endings for even darker playthroughs, accessible even without playing as the Dark Urge. Previously teased endings included the Dark Urge standing amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and another where a town falls under the influence of "sheer mindless bliss" at the hands of the True Absolute.
What Else Awaits in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7?
Patch 7 is a massive update brimming with new content and improvements. In addition to the dark new endings, expect a dynamic split-screen mode for co-op play, enhanced Honour Mode challenges, and a highly anticipated modding toolkit for player-created content.
Larian Studios has confirmed that this isn't the end for Baldur's Gate 3. Future plans include crossplay and photo mode, demonstrating their commitment to ongoing development based on player feedback.
Launching this September, Patch 7 is currently in closed beta. While the exact release date remains undisclosed, players can register on the Steam store page for early access.
