Black Ops 6 Welcomes a New Zombies Map
No More Amalgams?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based Zombies mode with a fifth map. A tantalizing sneak peek appeared on the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch's X account on March 12, 2025. The image showcases a damaged mansion, complete with burning vehicles, ominous smoke, and flames erupting from within.
The accompanying caption reads: "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" alongside the "#Zombies" hashtag. The return of Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War, is a welcome sight, especially given Black Ops 6's status as a remake.
Keen-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline seamlessly continues the narrative from Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb.
Prepare for a significant change: Treyarch's Instagram confirms the absence of Amalgam enemies on this map. Responding to a fan's comment about facing hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This news is sure to excite players who found these powerful, high-health enemies particularly challenging. A smoother, less grueling experience awaits in this new location.
