This season is a major update for Marvel Snap, mirroring the scale of an Avengers-level event. The game delves into Marvel's Dark Reign storyline, following Norman Osborn's takeover of S.H.I.E.L.D. (renamed H.A.M.M.E.R.) and his formation of a villainous Avengers team.
The season introduces these new playable characters:
- Iron Patriot (Norman Osborn): The leader of the Dark Avengers.
- Victoria Hand (Jan 7th): Increases the power of cards in your hand.
- Bullseye (Jan 21st): The master marksman.
- Moonstone (Jan 14th): The therapist-turned-villainess.
- Ares (Jan 28th): The god of war (use cautiously near Sentry!).
A new location, Asgard Besieged, depicts Asgard under attack.
A New Era of Villainy
This season brings back some familiar and forgotten faces, offering diverse powers and exciting gameplay. Norman Osborn, for instance, summons a random 4, 5, or 6-cost card upon being played. If you're winning his location by the next turn, that card's cost is reduced by 4, amplifying your victory.
Other additions include a new Daken card depicting him as Wolverine, along with various cosmetics to flaunt your villainous side. And making a surprise appearance is Galactus, a fan-favorite from Marvel Rivals!
