Newly surfaced 2005 James Bond audition tapes showcase Henry Cavill's impressive portrayal of 007, predating Daniel Craig's casting.

Games Radar reports that these tapes, featuring Cavill alongside Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr, were uploaded to the Ron South YouTube channel, belonging to a filmmaker with a modest subscriber base.

Cavill's audition has garnered significant attention, with many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, praising his performance. Campbell reportedly favored Cavill but ultimately, other producers chose Craig.

Cavill later fulfilled his spy ambitions in "Argylle," a film that, despite a star-studded cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine O’Hara, received underwhelming reviews, scoring a mere 4/10 on IGN.

Cavill's career remains diverse and successful, encompassing iconic roles such as Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's "The Witcher," and numerous other notable parts.
