Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: How To Get Effects Of Two Outfits Simultaneously

Authore: AllisonUpdate:Feb 20,2025

Master the Two-Outfit Trick in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered!

This guide explains how to combine the benefits of two outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, enhancing your gameplay experience. Note that this method is exclusive to the Remastered version; it's unavailable in the original game.

Remastered Version Required

The two-outfit method leverages the Remastered edition's transmog feature, allowing you to retain the stats of one outfit while visually wearing another. This eliminates the need to sacrifice appearance for optimal stats.

Outfit Requirements

This technique has limitations. While your primary outfit can be any you prefer, your secondary outfit (for transmog) must be one of the following Banuk Werak outfits, obtained from the Frozen Wilds DLC:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

Access to the Frozen Wilds is required, but completing the main game isn't necessary.

Acquiring Banuk Werak Outfits

Banuk Werak Runner: Reach the Frozen Wilds, defeat the initial machine (adjust difficulty if needed), and purchase the outfit from any Bluegleam Merchant (blue merchant icon). Resource costs vary based on difficulty:

Resource Normal Cost Ultra Hard Cost
Metal Shards 1000 5000
Desert Glass 10 20
Slagshine Glass 10 20

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Chieftain Adept: Complete the "For the Werak" quest (Frozen Wilds' third main quest). Consider lowering the difficulty for easier completion. The Adept version is only available in New Game Plus.

Combining Outfit Effects

Here's how to combine the effects:

  1. Equip Primary Outfit: Select the outfit with your desired stats. Enhance stats using Weaves if necessary.
  2. Transmog: Use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits.
  3. Benefit from Healing: The Banuk Werak outfits provide an auto-healing effect after taking damage. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer faster healing than the Runner.

This allows you to maintain your preferred stats while benefiting from the automatic healing provided by the Banuk Werak outfits. Combining this with a strong defensive outfit like the Shield Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
