Exciting news has emerged for Disney enthusiasts as Disneyland Paris prepares to introduce its first-ever land and attraction themed around *The Lion King*. Set to be a cornerstone of the newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, now to be known as Disney Adventure World, this new water ride will transport guests through iconic scenes from the beloved 1994 film. Scheduled to begin construction in Fall 2025, the land will boast a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock, along with an array of dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more.
Disney has released a captivating concept image of the ride, featuring Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting. This scene is just one highlight of the ride, which will also include a thrilling 52-foot drop, surpassing Tiana's Bayou Adventure by two inches.
While an exact opening date for *The Lion King* ride remains under wraps, it is slated to open following the debut of World of Frozen in 2026. This attraction will be a key element of Disney Adventure World, which aims to double the current park's size.
Disney Adventure World will also feature the much-anticipated Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the park's first-ever attraction themed after *Up*. The latter will be a "spinning carousel" offering breathtaking views of the park's scenery.
Opening on May 15, 2025, World Premiere will serve as the glamorous new entrance to Disney Adventure World, inspired by Hollywood premieres. Adjacent to it, World Premiere Plaza will draw inspiration from Broadway and the West End, hosting theaters with spectacular shows such as *TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure*, *Mickey and the Magician*, and *Frozen: A Musical Invitation*.
