Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game's code. A campaign to cancel the project's release has been launched.

The game has become a focal point for activists, including prominent figures like Grummz, who are perceived as having specific agendas. Reports of KCD 2's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation about controversial content and the inclusion of progressive themes.

The developers have faced a barrage of online attacks, with calls to boycott the game and punish the studio.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days," following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers sufficient time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
