Mask Around: The Sequel to Mask Up Delivers More Gooey Action!

Following the success of 2020's bizarre roguelike platformer, Mask Up, developer Rouli returns with its sequel, Mask Around, bringing even more of that signature yellow ooze and chaotic gameplay.

Mask Around builds upon its predecessor by adding 2D shooting mechanics to the mix. Players can now seamlessly switch between ranged combat and close-quarters brawling, utilizing both their goo powers and weaponry to overcome challenges. However, the ever-important yellow goo remains a limited resource, requiring strategic management, especially during boss encounters.

A Refined Formula

Available now on Google Play (with an iOS release yet to be announced), Mask Around appears to be a significant improvement over its predecessor. While retaining the core gameplay of Mask Up, it significantly expands upon it with the addition of shooting mechanics and a refined visual style. The strategic use of goo and weapons adds a new layer of depth, making resource management crucial for success.

The game’s enhanced graphics provide a more polished experience. Players now need to carefully consider when to utilize their goo abilities and when to rely on their arsenal, adding a strategic element to the combat.
