Netflix partners with Sifu creators for a big-screen adaptation. The project, initially announced in 2022 and developed by Story Kitchen and Sloclap, has expanded its production team, according to Deadline.

T.S. Nowlin (Maze Runner, Project Adam) is now writing the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, Chad Stahelski (John Wick, Ghost of Tsushima) and his company, 87Eleven Entertainment, are on board as executive producers.
Sifu, released in 2022, achieved remarkable success, selling over one million copies in its first three weeks. The game centers on a young martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's death. Using a mystical pendant for resurrection, each revival comes at the cost of accelerated aging, adding a unique layer to the protagonist's perilous journey.
