Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation. This new feature promises significant FPS boosts, with 75 games confirmed for immediate support upon release. While initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, some DLSS 4 enhancements will also be available to older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates.

The RTX 50 series boasts impressive specs, with the flagship RTX 5090 (32GB GDDR7, $1999 MSRP) leading the charge. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549). Nvidia demonstrated the power of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation using Cyberpunk 2077, showcasing a frame rate increase from under 30 FPS (with ray tracing and DLSS/MFG off) to an astounding 236 FPS (with DLSS 4 and MFG enabled) on the RTX 5090.

The extensive list of 75 games and applications supporting DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at launch includes highly anticipated titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Marvel Rivals, God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and many more (see full list below). Future titles, such as Doom: The Dark Ages, will also benefit from Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction.

While a precise January release date remains unannounced, Nvidia confirmed that enhancements like Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA will also be coming to RTX 40 series cards through future driver updates. This ensures that even owners of existing high-end Nvidia cards can experience some of the benefits of the new technology.
