Pokémon Champions, Game Freak's Leaked Multiplayer Game, Officially Revealed

Authore: HazelUpdate:Mar 05,2025

Following months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a new multiplayer battle-centric Pokémon game, has been officially unveiled. Developed collaboratively by Game Freak and The Pokémon Works (a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the studio behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl), this title focuses on core-style Pokémon battles.

The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastalization mechanics, hinting at a broad range of Pokémon and battle styles across various generations.

PlayCrucially, Pokémon Champions will integrate with Pokémon Home, enabling players to import Pokémon from previous games, finally providing a purpose for those numerous Pokémon residing in players' boxes.

Currently under development for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, a release date remains unannounced. The game will support Latin American Spanish at launch, in addition to other languages commonly featured in Pokémon games.

Interestingly, Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game that leaked last year as "Pokémon Synapse," part of the extensive "Freak Leak." While initial leaks suggested a multiplayer experience, comparisons to Splatoon proved somewhat inaccurate. The official reveal clarifies its core focus on competitive Pokémon battles.
