The eagerly anticipated Bug Out event is making its return to Pokémon Go, scheduled from March 26th to 30th. This event is a paradise for Bug-type Pokémon enthusiasts, featuring the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolved form, Centiskorch. Prepare for an action-packed period filled with wild encounters, engaging raids, enticing bonuses, and fresh challenges to keep you hooked.
During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be your best friend. Not only will they draw in Sizzlipede, but if you manage to catch enough Pokémon using a single Lure Module at a PokéStop, you'll see a surge in Pokémon appearances there.
You can also look forward to earning double XP and additional Candy for every Nice Throw or better. For trainers level 31 and above, there's an increased chance of getting Candy XL. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are higher during this event.
Expect to see a swarm of Bug-types in the wild, including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out for the elusive Cutiefly as well.
Sizzlipede will make its raid debut in one-star raids, alongside Scyther and Nincada. Meanwhile, Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will challenge you in three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will net you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event-specific Pokémon.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for even more rewards, there's a Paid Timed Research option available for $2 (or the local equivalent), which includes encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.
New Collection Challenges during the event will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters. Additionally, PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. Make sure to check out the in-game shop for exclusive items like the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket.
