What's in Store for Pokémon Go's New Year's 2025 Event?
The New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there aren't any new Pokémon, Shiny variations, or costumes this year, there's still plenty of festive fun.
Expect increased wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (in a party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks.
Raids will feature a snowflake-wearing Pikachu (Tier One), and party-hatted Raticate and Wobbuffet (Tier Three), also with increased Shiny odds. Themed Pokémon encounters will also be available through Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
