Running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025, this festive celebration offers themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to start the new year in style. Following the December 21st-22nd Community Day event featuring returning Community Day Pokémon, this New Year's event promises even more excitement.
One of the event highlights is the boosted XP—earn 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy festive fireworks and immersive New Year's decorations as you explore.
Expect to encounter themed Pokémon more frequently. Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat—and don't miss the chance to find their Shiny forms!
Raids are also decked out for the holidays! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are increased for all three.
