Combine different varieties of these iconic monsters for new unique abilities
Play match3 minigames and more to grab rewards

Fans of Ragnarok Online now have a new way to enjoy their favourite franchise on the go. No, it's not a new entry in the series proper, but it's set to be just as fun, as now you can fight alongside those adorable Porings in new adventure game Poring Rush, releasing today!

Poring Rush sees you battling your way through increasingly challenging sets of foes, aided along the way by the titular creatures. You'll gather new, more powerful armour, weapons and items while also supplementing your lineup of Porings, and grabbing even further treasure from match-3 minigames and more. To celebrate the launch a seven-day mission event is set to take place!

The Porings, for those not in the know, are a variety of iconic low-level enemies from Ragnarok Online. Similar to the slimes you find in franchises like Dragon Quest, Porings have gone from being throw-away enemies to arguably mascots of the series as a whole. They've even had spin-offs before, such as the match-3 Angel Poring.

Onwards, my explorations

It feels like nearly every fantasy franchise out there has a mascot character. For the aforementioned Dragon Quest, it's Slimes, for something like Dungeons & Dragons it's gelatinous cubes (or perhaps kobolds) and for Dark Souls it's er...I don't know, Hagar the Horrible?

Either way, if you're a Ragnarok Online enthusiast looking to satisfy your on-the-go battling and match-3 craving, this might be the release you've been eagerly awaiting. However, if you're more of a casual player, or someone seeking a more in-depth RPG experience, this may be a bit light on the immersive gameplay.

Still, if you need alternative choices, you don't have to look far. Why not check out the latest entry in our regular feature of the top five new mobile games to try this week, just released?
