TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of Coromon, the popular monster-collecting game from TRAGsoft, a roguelite spin-off is on the horizon: Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free). Launching next year on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android, this new title combines the turn-based combat of its predecessor with the ever-changing nature of roguelite gameplay.
The Steam page highlights key features, including 10 dynamic biomes, 7 unique playable characters, and over 130 monsters to collect. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is available for free on mobile, making this a noteworthy expansion. It will be interesting to see how Coromon: Rogue Planet performs on mobile compared to its Steam and Switch counterparts, and if the mobile release will be simultaneous. You can add Coromon: Rogue Planet to your Steam wishlist here. While I haven't played Coromon recently, Coromon: Rogue Planet's gameplay sounds incredibly appealing—the Steam screenshots suggest it's perfect for short bursts of play. In the meantime, you can download the original Coromon for free on iOS here.
What are your thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet so far? Have you played the original Coromon?
