"Split Fiction Film Adaptation Gains Momentum in Hollywood"

Authore: CharlotteUpdate:Apr 21,2025

According to Variety, the popular co-op action adventure game, Split Fiction, is set to receive a film adaptation. The report highlights that multiple top Hollywood studios have expressed interest, leading to a package deal being assembled by Story Kitchen, a media company known for its expertise in adapting games and other unique properties into films and TV shows. This same team previously handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' game, It Takes Two. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has also been involved in other notable projects such as the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. Currently, no further details about the Split Fiction adaptation have been disclosed.

Adding to the excitement, Split Fiction has been a commercial success, with over two million copies sold in its first week of release. IGN's review praised the game as an "unmissable co-op adventure that stays fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration."

In related news, Hazelight director Josef Fares announced earlier this week that the studio is already working on its next game, continuing their streak of innovative gaming experiences.
