Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Shell-Shock Call of Duty

Activision has revealed a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date ("soon") remain undisclosed by Activision, leaks from CODWarfareForum suggest potential additions. These include operator skins for all four turtles (though notably absent are April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder). New melee weapons are also rumored, including a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The Grind map, a skatepark, is speculated to be the central location for crossover events.

Despite the announcement, fan reception has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game is plagued by bugs and rampant cheating, leading to a substantial decline in its player base. The timing of this collaboration, amidst these ongoing issues, has left many players unconvinced and uncertain about its impact or longevity.
