In *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*, the weapon variety is extensive, catering to every player's preferred playstyle. Among the arsenal, you'll find not only standard weapons but also unique, named variants that boast special modifications and enhanced power. The Cavalier is a prime example of such a weapon—a distinctive sniper rifle equipped with a red-dot sight rather than a conventional magnification scope, making it exceptionally lethal at short to medium ranges. Here’s how you can secure this remarkable weapon.
How to Get the Unique Cavalier Rifle in Stalker 2
To acquire the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, head to the Duga base in *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*. It’s located near the Military Unit, inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously visited the Duga base to access the Journalist stash, navigating to the second entrance should be familiar and straightforward.
Getting Inside the Warehouse Near the Military Unit of Duga Base
Once inside the Duga base, make your way towards the Military Unit building, which is clearly marked on your map. You won't need to enter the building itself; instead, skirt around it to reach the greenhouse at the back. Exercise caution, as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack if they spot you. Approach the greenhouse carefully to avoid an encounter with these formidable mutants.
Upon entering the greenhouse, you'll find yourself inside the warehouse. Be prepared for multiple swarms of rats that will immediately begin to attack and deplete your health. To escape the rats, climb onto the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. From a safe vantage point, use a grenade to clear the rat swarms effectively.
Break the Wooden Boards & Grab the Cavalier Rifle
After dealing with the rats, direct your attention to the ceiling of the warehouse, above the entryway connecting to the greenhouse. You'll notice wooden boards painted yellow. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to drop down.
Once you've secured the rifle, safely exit the Duga base. To maximize the Cavalier’s potential, visit Screw, the technician at Rostok base, who can upgrade it. With its high damage output and excellent accuracy, which can be further enhanced with upgrades and mods, the Cavalier is an ideal choice for players who prefer a sniper rifle without a traditional scope. Its red-dot sight makes it perfect for close to medium-range engagements.
