Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat this January 2025! The month kicks off with a strong showing, particularly in the latter half. While the initial wave of January releases saw some title shifts rather than significant additions, the second half delivers a flurry of new games, including several day-one releases.
Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a cooperative and PvP skiing game, leads the charge, launching on January 21st as a day-one title exclusively for Ultimate subscribers. This follows the trend of recent day-one releases being initially limited to the Ultimate tier.

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, January 28th brings Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game with strong Zelda comparisons, developed by Yellow Brick Games and led by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw. Rounding out the month are Sniper Elite: Resistance on January 30th and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector on January 31st, both also debuting as day-one Game Pass titles.
February 2025 currently looks less substantial, with only Avowed (for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) confirmed for February 18th. Until further announcements, January's impressive selection, especially the day-one releases, provides plenty for Ultimate subscribers to enjoy.
