Xbox Game Pass Losing 6 Games Today, Including 3 Great Multiplayer Titles

Six Xbox Game Pass titles are departing on January 15th, likely around midnight local time. This includes both single and multiplayer games, impacting a significant portion of subscribers.

The rotating nature of the Xbox Game Pass catalog sees games added and removed approximately every 15 days. This current removal follows a similar purge on December 31st.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

Half of these are multiplayer focused, notably Exoprimal and Insurgency: Sandstorm. Escape Academy, while offering a lauded co-op mode, also stands out with its extended stay on the service since July 2022.

Escape Academy's Continued Availability:

While leaving Xbox Game Pass, Escape Academy will be free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th, offering a consolation for PC players.

Future Game Pass Changes:

The next wave of departures is anticipated on January 31st, with announcements expected alongside the January 2025 Wave 2 lineup. This includes confirmed day-one titles like Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Further updates are anticipated around the Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd.
