Unleash your creativity with the Artist's Eye utility, designed to help you draw or paint using a real pen or pencil on paper or canvas. Simply choose a model picture, such as a photo, and as you draw, watch your artwork through your phone or tablet equipped with a camera. The model image will appear semi-transparent over your drawing, guiding you to outline the contours effectively. This technique echoes the centuries-old method of using a camera lucida obscura (see here).

For the best experience, it's recommended to attach your phone to a support stand to keep it steady, freeing up both hands for your artistic work. This isn't cheating; it's a modern approach to learning and enhancing your skills. Be sure to watch the instructional video to fully understand how to use the app, as reviews indicate that low ratings often stem from a misunderstanding of its functionality.
