Starting today, Dell is offering an unbeatable deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point makes it one of the most competitive offers for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially as other brands have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other option with an RTX 5080 is over $4,000, making this deal a standout. Moreover, sourcing a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build could cost you as much as this entire prebuilt system.
Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC
$2,399.99 at Alienware
This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, complemented by a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of the three new Blackwell graphics cards currently available (and notoriously hard to find). In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already own a high-end graphics card from recent years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – its performance edge over the RTX 4080 is marginal, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance the gaming experience in supported titles. However, for those with older GPUs seeking a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design closely resembles the 2024 R16 model but features refined aesthetics and cooling improvements along with updated components. The I/O panel is now located at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window extends the entire side panel, eliminating the need for side panel vents. Instead, air intakes are placed at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps maintain a cleaner interior. The internal components have been completely refreshed, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The initial batch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The highest-end models, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, were released first, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs have either sold out, increased in price, or are facing significant delivery delays.
