Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving Henry ill-equipped. Fortunately, acquiring the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost is entirely possible. This guide details how to obtain this valuable weapon.
After parting ways with Hans, gaining access to the wedding requires securing a job, either with the blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location on your map provides a convenient route to the bow. While the blacksmith job offers access to Semine's wedding and eventually the hermit's sword, the bow is obtainable beforehand.
The blacksmith resides in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (the prologue's end). West of Troskowitz, follow the path northward. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area houses a small training ground.
Within this cluster, locate the archery target. Collect the arrows for free ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, you'll find the Dogwood Village Bow. Additional resources, such as brew and mushrooms, are also present. Once collected, resume your quest.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free version, purchasing it is inefficient. However, Vitek offers superior weaponry, and alchemy (herb gathering and potion brewing) presents a lucrative alternative for acquiring funds.
Regardless of your chosen method, a ranged weapon significantly enhances combat, especially for players who prefer this style. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's combat, similar to its predecessor, may not appeal to all players.
After acquiring the bow (either free or purchased), continue your quest in Tachov as a blacksmith (saving after forging a sword) or proceed to the miller. With a ranged weapon, navigating Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's challenges becomes considerably easier.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
