The final two free updates for Dead Cells mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been delayed until February 18th, 2025, developer Playdigious announced. These updates, already released on PC and consoles, introduce substantial new content.
"Clean Cut" boasts two new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
"The End is Near" adds formidable new enemies—the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer—along with fresh skills and mutations, such as Demonic Strength, which increases damage by 30% (plus 1% per curse stack).
Playdigious's commitment to enriching Dead Cells with free content is commendable. While the conclusion of these free updates allows the studio to pursue other projects, the substantial additions in "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" justify the extended wait. Both updates will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025.
