Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. Unlike typical quest items, these don't appear in your quest log. Instead of progressing a specific questline, they offer a substantial gold reward upon sale.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3, you'll be transported to the past via a portal, entering the once-magnificent Vaal city of Utzaal (known as The Drowned City in the present). This area, along with the connected Aggorat, holds the five Golden Idols. They are not dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, these idols aren't used for any quest progression. Instead, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the northern part of the area. He's your buyer.
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Since they only serve as valuable sellable items, consider selling them immediately to free up inventory space. Use the portal back to the encampment for efficient trading.
