The Emerald Dream, a magical yet perilous realm in Hearthstone, opens its gates on March 25th! This expansion introduces 145 new cards, exciting new mechanics, and powerful legendary Wild Gods, promising a captivating gameplay experience.
What Awaits in the Emerald Dream?
Ysera's sanctuary, the heart of nature magic, faces a grave threat. Players can choose to defend its serenity or embrace the ensuing chaos. The expansion introduces the "Imbue" keyword, granting blessings from the World Tree to Druids, Hunters, Mages, Paladins, Priests, and Shamans.
The first Imbue card played transforms your Hero Power into a stronger class-specific version. Subsequent Imbue cards further enhance this power. For instance, Hunters receive the Blessing of the Wolf. Other classes, however, will remain unaffected by the Imbue mechanic.
Alternatively, for those drawn to darkness, the Old Gods offer "Dark Gifts." This keyword empowers Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Rogues, Warlocks, and Warriors with twisted power-ups. These enhancements synergize with Discover options, allowing the creation of terrifying minions capable of devastating opponents. The Emerald Dream expansion boasts 10 unique Dark Gifts.
Introducing the Wild Gods
The expansion also features the Wild Gods, colossal forces of nature, each representing a class. Some have succumbed to corruption, creating a fascinating dichotomy between those striving to protect the Dream and those intent on plunging it into a Nightmare.
