Marvel Rivals: Fantastic Four Join the Fight

Authore: JacobUpdate:Mar 13,2025

The new season of [game name] kicks off with the arrival of the Fantastic Four! Adding 33 heroes in a single month is impressive, but the developers are already treating players to a brand-new quartet. Two—Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman—are here now, with Thing and Human Torch joining the fray later. Thing will be a tank, while Human Torch takes on the duelist role. They’ll also be part of the Fantastic Four Team-Up, which enhances Invisible Woman's healing and grants Mister Fantastic a rapid health restoration ability.

Who Are the New Heroes?

Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman

Invisible Woman

With relatively few support characters currently in the game, Invisible Woman is a welcome addition for players who prefer this role. Her attacks pierce through multiple targets, damaging enemies and healing allies—a powerful tactic in crowded situations. While her range isn't extensive, it's crucial to stay close to teammates. She can also turn invisible (after 6 seconds of inactivity and avoiding attacks or ability use), which provides healing during this period. A more practical invisibility tactic is her double jump, offering a quick escape from danger.

Her right-click deploys a fragile shield in front of an ally, best used for duelists and repositioned frequently to protect injured teammates, as it provides healing to those nearby. She can also attract or repel opponents; repulsion serves as a defensive maneuver before dodging, while attraction assists allies in engaging enemies. She can fire a sphere that pulls opponents into a damaging area, effective for blocking chokepoints and damaging groups. While a three-hit melee combo pushes enemies away, it's often less practical than her other defensive options. Her ultimate creates a healing and invisibility zone for the team, though its stationary nature makes it vulnerable to area-of-effect attacks.

Invisible Woman offers a balanced playstyle. While not surpassing top-tier supports like Luna Snow and Mantis, her tactical abilities make her a valuable asset to any team.

Mister Fantastic

Mister Fantastic is a unique character, reflecting the nature of his powers. His attacks reach medium range, and aiming sideways ensures his fists hit any enemies in their path.

His abilities and attacks fill a meter; when full, he transforms into an inflated form, significantly boosting damage and durability. His "Shift" ability allows him to absorb damage for a short duration before releasing it as a powerful shot. He can attract characters, gaining a temporary shield (allies gain a shield, enemies take damage). His right-click extends his arm to immobilize enemies, allowing him to either pull them closer or grab another enemy for a combined aerial throw. His ultimate involves a jump attack, slowing and damaging enemies, and repeating if a target is hit—similar to Bucky's ultimate, but often less effective. Mister Fantastic blends duelist and tank capabilities, proving strong but not surpassing the current top-tier heroes.

Both heroes are well-received, showcasing the developers' commitment to creating unique characters. We eagerly anticipate the season's remaining additions!
