For those tackling the "Echoes of Time" quests (Week 2, Blast from the Past), the subsequent "Inventing the Past" quests require finding Plathinum and Ironyum for Emit. Luckily, this hunt is straightforward.
Finding Plathinum and Ironyum is identical to finding the Special Time Capsule. Simply locate an area with rocks and dirt mounds (parks are ideal). Pause the game to carefully scan your surroundings. Once you spot a promising spot, dig! It might take a few tries, but you'll eventually unearth Plathinum and Ironyum, unlocking the Time Travel Component quest.
If rocks and mounds are scarce, speed up in-game time to encourage their faster generation. However, avoid spending too much time sped up, as you might miss your digging opportunity.
