This event coincides with Pokémon GO's ninth anniversary and precedes the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova. Expect boosted encounter rates for various Pokémon, including Shiny Ekans, Onix, and Snivy.
Event Highlights:
- Dates: January 29th, 10:00 a.m. to February 2nd, 8:00 p.m. (local time)
- Increased Odds: Higher chances of securing Lucky Pokémon from trades and becoming Lucky Friends.
- Boosted Encounters: Increased wild spawns of Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini (with Shiny possibilities!). Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi will hatch from 2km Eggs.
- Reward Opportunities: Complete Field Research and Timed Research tasks for Stardust, XP, Zygarde Cells, and Pokémon encounters. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers enhanced rewards, including Lucky Eggs and an incubator.
- Additional Activities: Participate in Routes for Zygarde Cells, showcase your Lunar New Year Pokémon at PokéStops, and tackle a Collection Challenge for extra Stardust.
