Rumor: Switch 2 Leak Reveals Possible Joy-Con Images

Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Leak: A Closer Look

Recent online leaks suggest we're getting a clearer picture of the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Con controllers. While the Switch's lifespan extends into 2025, whispers of its successor are growing louder, especially with Nintendo's confirmed announcement slated for the end of their 2024 fiscal year. Anticipation is high, fueling a surge in rumors and leaks surrounding the Switch 2's potential specs and features.

With a rumored March 2025 launch, numerous leaks have attempted to detail the Switch 2's hardware and design. Third-party developers and insiders have reportedly shared images of the console itself, adding to the speculation. Details regarding the Joy-Cons' continued use, along with their color scheme, have also surfaced. New images, posted on r/NintendoSwitch2 by user SwordfishAgile3472, purportedly originating from a Chinese social media platform, provide the clearest view yet of the controllers.

These images, subsequently shared widely online, seemingly confirm the rumored magnetic connection for the Switch 2 Joy-Cons. Unlike the original Switch's rail system, these controllers appear to utilize magnetic fields for attachment, eliminating physical contact.

Decoding the Joy-Con Leak:

The leaked photos showcase a predominantly black Joy-Con with blue accents, echoing the original Switch's color scheme, but with a reversed color emphasis. The images, showing only the side and back, offer a glimpse of the button layout. Noticeably larger "SL" and "SR" buttons are present, along with a third, unlabeled button on the back. This additional button is speculated to be a release mechanism for the magnetic connection.

The leaked Joy-Con design aligns with other recent leaks and mockups of the Switch 2 console. However, until Nintendo provides official confirmation, the details remain speculative.
