Smite 2's open beta is now live and free-to-play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), and Steam Deck. This launch coincides with a major patch introducing significant new content.
A year after its announcement, Smite 2, built with Unreal Engine 5, delivers a refined MOBA experience. Boasting enhanced visuals and combat mechanics, it also features a revamped item shop offering broader item choices regardless of god classification. Gameplay retains the core 5v5 team battles and god-based character selection of its predecessor.
This open beta introduces Aladdin, a brand-new god designed specifically for Smite 2, possessing unique wall-running and revival abilities. His ultimate ability involves capturing enemies for a 1v1 duel. Additional gods joining the roster include Geb (Egyptian), Mulan (Chinese), Agni (Hindu), and Ullr (Norse).
The popular 3v3 Joust mode returns, alongside a new Arthurian-themed map and updates to the Conquest map. An alpha version of the Assault game mode is also included, plus new "Aspects" – optional enhancements for select gods.
