Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release, launched in June 2020.
Two Months Remain
With the December shutdown approaching, in-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th maintenance.
Despite its impressive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha system, the global version received a mixed reception. Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked key content updates such as Solistia and 6-star units, a significant omission that contributed to player dissatisfaction.
Community Reflections
Square Enix has already closed several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding to the closures.
