After a small leak last week, EA has officially announced the title of its next Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. The game is being developed by the newly-formed studio Bit Reactor, with assistance from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

While details on Star Wars: Zero Company are scarce, we know it will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA plans to unveil a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, established in 2022, comprises industry veterans from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it's been known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this is the first time specific details have been shared.

Respawn's exact role in the development of Zero Company remains somewhat unclear. The studio has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS last year, widespread layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

For those eager to learn more, a live panel dedicated to Star Wars: Zero Company will take place on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., this translates to 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms if you don't want to miss out.
