SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku’, Plus New Releases, Sales, and Good-Byes

Authore: AdamUpdate:Feb 01,2025

Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new adventures. But before I go, let's recap this week's highlights!

Reviews & Mini-Views

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU

Imagineer's Fitness Boxing series continues with a collaboration featuring Hatsune Miku. This Joy-Con-only title offers daily workouts, rhythm-based boxing exercises, mini-games, and Miku-themed content. While the core gameplay is solid, the main instructor's voice is a bit jarring. Best used as a supplement to other fitness routines.

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy

A charming blend of Metroidvania exploration and cooking/crafting. While the pixel art, music, and exploration are delightful, inventory management and backtracking could use improvement. The UI takes some getting used to. Plays well on Switch, though some frame pacing issues were noted.

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

Aero The Acro-Bat 2

A polished sequel to the original Aero The Acro-Bat. This enhanced release boasts improved presentation, extra features (achievements, gallery, jukebox, cheats), and both North American and Japanese Super NES versions. A solid 16-bit platformer, though the absence of the Genesis/Mega Drive version is a minor drawback.

Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

Metro Quester | Osaka

A prequel/expansion to Metro Quester, featuring a new dungeon in Osaka, new characters, and new challenges. Retains the satisfying turn-based combat and top-down exploration of the original. A must-have for fans, and a great entry point for newcomers.
