Ubisoft Japan Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Character Awards: Ezio Auditore Reigns Supreme!
Ubisoft Japan recently concluded its Character Awards, a celebratory event marking their 30th anniversary. The competition, held to determine fan-favorite characters across their game catalog, saw Assassin's Creed's Ezio Auditore da Firenze emerge victorious.
The online poll, open from November 1st, 2024, allowed fans to vote for their top three choices. Ezio's triumph is commemorated with a dedicated page featuring unique artwork and four free downloadable wallpapers (available for PCs and smartphones). A lottery will also award 30 lucky participants with an Ezio acrylic stand set, and 10 will receive a massive 180cm Ezio body pillow.
The top ten characters, as announced on Ubisoft Japan's website and X (formerly Twitter), are:
- Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Liberation)
- Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
- Edward James Kenway (Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag)
- Bayek (Assassin’s Creed Origins)
- Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin’s Creed)
- Wrench (Watch Dogs)
- Pagan Min (Far Cry)
- Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla)
- Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
- Aaron Keener (The Division 2)
A separate poll for most popular game franchise also saw Assassin's Creed claim the top spot, surpassing Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division and Far Cry rounded out the top five franchises.
