Ubisoft Patches AC Origins, Valhalla for Windows 11 Compatibility

Welcome back to another episode of our update series, "How is Ubisoft today?" Amidst ongoing challenges for the company's upper management, there's a glimmer of positive news as Ubisoft has successfully tackled a persistent issue.

Ubisoft has finally resolved the compatibility issues that plagued several Assassin’s Creed games, including Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, following the 24H2 update for Windows 11. These issues, which surfaced since the fall of 2024, have now been addressed with new patches. The updates were announced on the Steam pages for both Origins and Valhalla.

The gaming community has responded positively to these fixes. Comments under the patch notes show gamers expressing relief and gratitude towards Ubisoft, acknowledging that this time, the problem stemmed from Windows rather than the game developer itself. Despite the positive feedback, the recent reviews for both games remain "Mixed."

Looking forward, there's optimism that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows will not encounter similar compatibility problems. The game’s release has been postponed to March 20, 2025, as Ubisoft focuses on enhancing its quality. This launch is crucial, as it could very well shape the future trajectory of the company.
