Mastering VALHALLA SURVIVAL's Combat
VALHALLA SURVIVAL offers a unique roguelike experience. You control character movement only; weapon equipping and character leveling occur outside the game. Select your character and weapon, click "play," and embark on increasingly challenging story stages. Early enemies are weaker, but don't underestimate the importance of dodging. Bosses and mini-bosses will rigorously test your reflexes.
Movement is achieved by clicking anywhere on the screen—no traditional movement wheel exists. While visually stunning, skill animations can sometimes have longer render times. Collect blue crystals (EXP) from slain enemies to level up your character; green crystals restore health (HP).
In-game microtransactions allow direct purchase of resources after completing campaign levels 1-4. Each character possesses unique traits that synergize with their combat abilities. You can freely level up and switch between any owned character, regardless of class, eliminating class-based restrictions. Leveling enhances base stats (Attack, Defense, Speed) and ability potency.
Weaponry: Your Arsenal of Survival
Weapons are crucial in VALHALLA SURVIVAL. The game encourages experimentation with diverse weapon builds. However, class and playstyle limitations exist; a melee warrior like Asheran won't wield bows effectively. Each class has multiple weapon choices combinable with armor and other equipment.
Weapons grant additional stats, boosting damage, survivability, and mobility. Loot drops from mini-bosses and bosses determine weapon rarity. Higher difficulty stages yield superior weapon drops.
