LoL: Wild Rift's Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is poised to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic overhaul that will transform the game from top to bottom. Players will embark on an interstellar journey through the Dual Nova galaxy, navigating the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.
Three new champions are set to electrify the battlefield in this latest update. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will bring his formidable AoE damage and teleportation ability, Realm Warp, allowing strategic map movement with teammates. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, will sow chaos with his Paranoia ability, casting foes into darkness. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, offers time manipulation, slowing adversaries and reviving allies with Chronoshift.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage will now scale over time, boosting his tankiness, while his Judgment will be more effective against enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane with enhanced damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are also in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring balanced gameplay across the board.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will freshen up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts accessible through portals during the laning phase. Mages are in for a treat with new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item that delivers extra burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance will amplify ultimate abilities, making spellcasters more formidable than ever.
Ranked mode is not left behind, with a new season starting alongside the Challenger’s Star's launch. Expect updates to the Ranked store and an easier pathway to seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling twist on ARAM with galactic visuals and augments.
